So what’s in there?

Little gem lettuce. I’d say this is the main ingredient in the salad! I love little gem, as I find it crunchy and very dense. That said, any kind of lettuce – romaine, curly or iceberg will do well in this recipe.

Spinach. We need a generous handful of spinach for some extra chlorophyll, provitamin A as well as magnesium. Some other dark leafy greens you can use include kale or my favorite – arugula.

Radishes with greens. Radishes grow very quickly, are crunchy, tasty and don’t cost an arm and a leg. So we’ll use some in the recipe along with their greens.

Cucumbers. If you’ve got some good cucumbers, throw them in the veggie salad!

Avocado. Adding an avocado will make the salad more satiating, as this green fruit is full of healthy fats and fiber!

Scallion and chili pepper. The pepper is optional and you can go for sweet peppers too! Scallions are a must!

Dill. Do not forget about fresh dill – it adds more flavor to the salad and is super tasty!

Olive oil, salt and juice of lemon! Use these to season your salad and add them to taste!
