It’s getting colder, so I’m starting with the sauerkraut recipes! This time I’ve got this amazing recipe for ground beef with sauerkraut, a super delicious, easy dinner idea – no chopping, one pan and around 30-35 minutes. I basically can’t wait to make it again, it is SO comforting, one of my go-to’s during winter.

As with most of my other sauerkraut recipes – this chicken and sauerakraut or the pork and sauerkraut recipe, the instructions here go: basically dump everything into a cooking pot and let it cook for about half an hour. Told you, the easiest dinner ever. You don’t need to wash anything, to cut vegetables or meat…it’s all ready to go. And it’s SOOO tasty, perfect comfort food and great for the colder days of fall or winter.

The recipe is also pretty versatile! You can change whatever you don’t have/don’t like. For example, you can use other ground meat or other grains (like bulgur or barley), and you can add more spice to it. I really hope you enjoy it, here’s the recipe.

And if you haven’t yet – you can learn how to make sauerkraut in three different easy ways here. All you need is cabbage, salt, water, a few jars, a knife and patience to allow the fermentation to happen.
The process is super easy and you make sure to actually have the good bacteria, because store-bought varieties don’t always have probiotics. You can then add the sauerkraut you made to recipes like this one with ground beef or use it raw in salads like this one.
Please let me know if the rice is cooked or raw in the beef and sauerkraut recipe. Thank you
the rice is raw – dry, rinsed and drained
